Economy | Entrepreneurship | Globalization John N. Doggett has been an award-winning Senior Lecturer at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin since 1989. His academic focus is on global competition, entrepreneurship, and sustainable energy. Mr. Doggett has extensive business and consulting experience with firms in Asia, Europe, and the US. He has also taught seminars on global competition and entrepreneurship at universities in Austria, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, and Taiwan. Since 2003, he has led business observation tours of MBAs to China and India. John Doggett was a legal services attorney for seven years in Connecticut and California and a McKinsey & Company consultant in the US and Denmark for two years. He started his own international management-consulting firm in 1983. During the next decade, he worked with clients on business strategy and marketing issues in 25 countries. He co-founded a Spanish language TV sports programming company that signed a 3-year exclusive contract with the National Football League. He was also an award-winning radio talk show host in Austin. Mr. Doggett is a member of the Board of Directors of Affinegy, Inc. and ApplyGenie, Inc. of Austin and Lehr, Inc. of Los Angeles. He is also the Board Chair of Rainforest Partnership of Austin and on the Advisory Boards of Lend-a-Hand India of NYC and Treehouse, Ltd. of San Francisco. John Doggett received his Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School, his MBA degree from Harvard Business School, and his BA degree from Claremont Men's College.
