Often referred to just as "the pit crew guy", Breon Klopp has been involved with NASCAR® as a pit crew coach for more than a decade. He is also a business entrepreneur with two start-ups to his credit. It is a combination of experiences that provides a unique and interesting perspective on organizational performance, process improvement, and teamwork.
Mr. Klopp’s programs correlate the similarities between high-performing motorsports pit crews and successful business practices and have application in most every industry including healthcare, sales, transportation, and manufacturing. His award-winning programs provide organizations the motivation and methods for improvement. He has worked successfully with such companies as NCR, USAF, Coca-Cola, Intel, Walt Disney, Northrop Grumman, United Airlines, ConocoPhillips, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and Abbott Pharmaceuticals and has been featured in numerous national media stories and even for the basis for an episode of a reality television show.
Breon founded his first and the first of its kind business serving the motorsports industry with workforce technical skills training, placement services, and race team coaching. As a pit crew instructor and coach, Breon developed the curricular foundation for training individuals as over-the-wall pit crew athletes and created the process used by NASCAR® Drive for Diversity to recruit, select and develop individuals within minority demographics as pit crew athletes.
Before his involvement in motorsports, Breon served as a facility manager and operations specialist for a health services consulting firm and served as an Athletic Trainer for the football sports medicine staffs at North Carolina State University and University of Wisconsin.
Breon Klopp is from Port Washington, Wisconsin and resides in Mooresville, North Carolina with his wife and sons.
