Pat Allen, Ph.D. is the author of numerous books, including her longtime bestseller Getting to ‘I Do’ published by William Morrow, now in its 32nd printing! Other book titles include Staying Married and Loving it, Conversational Rape, It’s a Man’s World and a Woman’s Universe®, and her new Guy Survival Tools e-books. Pat Allen can currently be seen as New York’ therapist on VH1’s most popular reality show I Love New York 2 as she does couples counseling and helps New York find the man of her dreams! Dr. Allen is a licensed Marriage, Family, Child Counselor and member of the National American Marriage, Family Therapists and American Psychological Association, a Credentialed College-Level Life Educator in the State of California, and she is Co-founder and President of the American Depression Association. She is also a Certified Addictions Specialist, from Harvard Medical School. Recently, addressing the staff and community audience of 400 at the Betty Ford Clinic, in Palm Springs, and once again “Wowed” the audience of more than 700 at PSI seminar's “Principia” event at Clearlake Oaks, California.
