Peter Longo is a multi-talented Life Member of the PGA, a former PGA Tour player, published author and world class trick shot artist. He has traveled the globe for three decades performing over 3,000 exhibitions. He amazes and amuses golfers and non-golfers alike hitting incredible specialty shots laced with comedy and audience participation. His vast repertoire and entertainment skills have earned him the nickname of “The King of Clubs”. Adding Peter’s genuine warmth and engaging personality to the mix, he is a guaranteed hit with any audience.
Mr. Longo is also a highly talented keynote speaker, emcee and roast master. His motivational speeches and after dinner talks keep him equally busy away from the exhibition tee.
Peter Longo is a media celebrity with a long entertainment career in both radio and television. He was host of his own weekly golf talk show on KTAR radio in Phoenix for 10 years and was dubbed “The Official Radio Voice of the Phoenix Open.” He also did tournament broadcasting stints with the Mutual and NBC radio networks and is a member of the Samaritan Media Hall Of Fame in Arizona. His television golf tips and trick shots can be seen nationally on superstation WGN from Chicago.
Peter Longo is a noted golf historian and conducts rollicking seminars entitled, Golf: A Short Course on a Long History. His presentation is full of keen graphics, rare vintage photographs and some of the most bizarre stories never heard from the annuls of the Royal and Ancient game.
Age has no boundaries with Peter Longo as he is immensely popular with junior golfers. He collaborates regularly with The First Tee, The Kids Golf Foundation and Awana Clubs International. His visit to Vietnam in December 2014 broke ground for the first nationwide junior golf program in that country’s history.
A master teacher, Peter began working with disabled golfers shortly after starting his trick shot show. “I had been developing shots with one arm, one leg, seated and blindfolded. I soon realized I was amassing information that could help people who had those challenges.”
As a result, Peter produced the first fully instructional video for disabled golfers, Challenge Golf. He also wrote the official teaching CD on the subject for the PGA of America and the Spanish Golf Federation. His treatise and instructional manual for the US Government earned him a trip to The White House in 1989.
He was an original member of the PGA’s Committee for Disabled Golf and still serves as an advisor.
In 2003, Peter was hired by international Spanish golf star, Sergio Garcia, to run a nationwide program for people with physical and mental disabilities. He helped open golf programs all over Spain and continues in that role.
It was short step from the disabled academies to begin work with the Wounded Warrior Project. Peter Longo created Camp LiberTee Golf Schools in 2013 and heads those programs for US military personnel wounded in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
