Biography

A world-class golf trick shot artist since 1979, a veteran of over 2,500 exhibitions worldwide and known as "The King of Clubs," Peter Longo connects with any audience - hitting incredible shots, joking with the guests, and shaking hands with everyone. Peter Longo has earned a reputation for keeping things fresh and lively, both on the exhibition tee as well as behind the banquet microphone. Realizing many events require more than just a golf exhibition, Peter Longo's versatility is showcased behind the microphone with his clever story telling and customized presentations.

The Peter Longo Golf Show is a quick paced, fun filled hour of golf; as a former PGA Tour player, master teacher, and show business entertainer, Peter Longo amazes and amuses audiences with his creative trick shot spectacular. Peter Longo also enhances the day on the course, performing a "Beat the Pro" or other type of fun activity.

After golf, Peter Longo is a highly skilled banquet speaker and emcee and completes the day with laughs and applause at the microphone. Peter Longo is the world's number one golf entertainer and a day with The King of Clubs will bring fond memories all year long. Clients can count on a fast paced presentation whether a first show or repeat performance.

Peter Longo's career highlights include PGA Professional, Life Member, weekly appearances on Golf the Desert radio show in Phoenix, featured writer for golfing magazines including PUBLINKS, the Arizona Golf Association, the Arizona Golf Journal, the Chicago District Golfer and Sports n' Spokes, a starring role in Hot Shots (trick shot vignettes aired on cable TV), author of the instructional book, Simplified Golf, and the creator and star of the variety/entertainment shows Off the Fairway and Inside Golf. Peter Longo is the original inductee to the Samaritan Foundation Broadcast Hall of Fame in Phoenix.

"My earliest trick shot routines were with one arm, on one leg, seated and blindfolded. I soon realized I had learned a great deal about the challenges facing disabled people. I began teaching and writing on golf with all types of disabilities and it's been going great guns ever since then." After more than two decades of working with disabled people, Peter Longo is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on the subject. He has written dozens of articles for individual publications, along with teaching manuals on disabled golf for the USPGA, The Spanish Golf Federation, and the National Golf Foundation.

Peter Longo produced the first video ever done on handicapped golf, Challenge Golf, which has become an industry standard the world over. In 1989, Peter authored a treatise on golf and challenges for the U.S. Government that earned him a trip to the White House to meet sponsors First Lady Barbara Bush and Queen Sylvia of Sweden. Peter Longo was an original member of the PGA's Committee for the Physically Disabled and still serves as an advisor.

Since 2003, Peter Longo has teamed with the Fundacion Deporte y Desafio (Foundation for Sports and Challenges) in Madrid and international star Sergio Garcia, conducting Spain's first ever disabled golf teaching seminars for professionals in Barcelona, Madrid, Gijon, Malaga, Castellon, Seville, Majorca Island and The Canary Islands. His computer program, Challenge Golf - CD, in conjunction with the PGA of America, instructs golf professionals and students on disabled golf and was released in 2005.
