The above philosophy underlies Brenda Galilee Rhodes' approach to business and to life. A nationally-known and respected businesswoman, mother, actor, academic, and producer, Ms. Brenda Rhodes understands how to transform life and business lessons into motivating, inspirational presentations for a wide range of audiences.
The eldest of eight children in a Mormon family, Brenda Rhodes was raised in Silicon Valley - the technology center she would later influence significantly. As a single mother of six, she built Hall Kinion and Associates, a contractor sourcing and permanent placement-staffing firm, from the ground up and took it public. Long known as a center of boom-and-bust economic cycles, Silicon Valley provided a challenging testing ground to her leadership. Throughout several downturns, she diversified through vertical specialization and strategic acquisition, which positioned Hall Kinion to profit from the technology boom that began in 1998.
Brenda Rhodes graduated from Harvard Business School's OPM program while guiding Hall Kinion to annual revenues over $300 million. With more than 3,000 employees around the world and as an acknowledged leader in providing technical professionals to the world's largest companies, Forbes named Hall Kinion as "one of the 200 Best Small Companies"for three consecutive years. In 2002, Brenda Rhodes was awarded the YWCA's Tribute to Women and Industry Award. Her leadership as chief executive officer during this time was featured in Winning Behaviors by Terry R. Bacon & David G. Pugh; published in 2003. And finish strong is exactly what Ms. Rhodes did when she sold the Hall Kinion empire in 2004.
Brenda Rhodes next formed SugarBeets Productions. With extensive training and a passion for acting and speaking, she is committed to applying her business expertise to bringing meaningful creative projects to stage, screen, and television. SugarBeets Productions is at the nexus of Northern California's arts and entertainment capital in Marin County, with connections to leading actors, directors, producers, artists, and business people. With numerous productions already to the studio's credit, Brenda Rhodes is forming creative partnerships to bring to life a number of interesting projects.
Drawing from her forthcoming book, The Cipoletti Finish, Brenda Rhodes structures keynotes and presentations around life lessons - grounded in theory and practical experience - within the event's context. Speaking engagements include takeaways that audience members have consistently found helpful and inspiring when applied to their own personal and professional lives.
