Dr. Charles Petty routinely receives the ultimate compliment paid any speaker: repeated invitations to return as a speaker again and again.
Not only is Dr. Charles Petty funny, he has the rare ability to package profound, life-changing truths in humor. Charles Petty uses no notes, speaks rapidly, is folksy, has a soft southern accent, and never uses off-color humor. Whenever Charles speaks, his goal is not only to help people improve, but to have them feel better.
Charles Petty says, "My job as a speaker is to put a smile on faces, information in minds, motivation in hearts, inspiration in spirits, and make the program planner look good!" Demand for his humor and wisdom is both national and international, and he has spoken to over 2700 different clients in 49 states and 14 countries.
Dr. Petty was reared in the farming communities of England and Stuttgart, Arkansas. As a native of Arkansas, he does indeed know former President Clinton. In fact, when President Clinton was eleven or twelve years old, Dr. Petty was his rifle instructor at a Boy Scout camp!
Charles Petty learned about the importance of family under very difficult circumstances. His parents divorced when he was six and his mother died three years later; then he lived in a blended family. When he was sixteen, Charles Petty's father and younger brother were killed in a car accident, so he lived by himself for a year, before becoming a foster child.
Charles Petty was educated in Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas, and has been a counselor, visiting professor, on the staffs of large corporations in Texas and North Carolina, and for seven years was on the senior staff of the North Carolina Governor. Dr. Petty is founder and president of Family Success Unlimited, and since 1985, all he has been doing is eating and speaking.
He has spoken enough to earn the designation Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) from the National Speakers Association. That same organization thought Charles Petty spoke so well that it elected him into its Speaker Hall of Fame, which is the highest professional speaking award given to speakers who have been evaluated by their peers and judged to be among the top professionals in the speaking profession.
