Biography

After graduating from the University of California with a degree in political science, Peter Montoya went to work for a nationally-recognized sales trainer. During the next five years, he lived in 25 major cities and performed over 2,000 training sessions in every industry.

Then he was hired by a Southern California advertising agency and started offering seminars for realtors. These seminars focused on a radical new concept called "Personal Marketing." When steadily increasing numbers of financial advisors began attending these seminars, Peter Montoya realized the entire financial services community was begging for a marketing revolution. Soon, he left to start his own firm, Millennium Advertising.

Millennium Advertising, a full service marketing firm specializing in strategic planning, creative work, marketing research, public relations and web development, met every marketing challenge for its hundreds of financial clients, who represented every major firm in the industry.

In 2001, Peter Montoya Inc. was launched to offer Peter Montoya's personal branding concepts to all types of small businesses. Through public and private presentations, he educates tens of thousands of business owners yearly, delivering more than 100 speeches annually. Peter Montoya spends half the year on the road interfacing with his clients.

As Peter Montoya explains, "A personal brand is the public projection of certain aspects of a person's personality, skills or values, not the entire human being. A personal brand is the enduring perception of the person, and reflects the true character of the person behind it.
