Brad Montgomery never planned to be a magician. He planned to be a lawyer. After graduating with a Political Science degree from Brown University, Brad Montgomery planned to do magic for one year and then start the serious part of his life with the study of law. To date, he is still waiting for the serious part of his life to begin.
Brad Montgomery got his start performing magic table-side in restaurants. Then he progressed to performing in a Renaissance Faire, complete with pointy shoes, tights, and a horrible "Olde English" accent. That turned out to be a learning experience that would hook Brad Montgomery forever. Now, after years of dues playing in comedy clubs and hundreds of colleges and universities, Brad Montgomery can leave those tights at home for good.
Although his first love was magic, as Brad Montgomery progressed his audiences laughed more and more. He says they were laughing with him, not at him. Soon his boy-next-door humor and his off-the-cuff comedy were an integral part of the act.
Brad Montgomery now speaks to corporations and associations who need a lift, bringing laughter and magic with a simple yet powerful message about creating more humor in our lives. Brad Montgomery has earned his Certified Speaking Professional designation, which is the highest earned award from the National Speakers Association. Fewer than 7% of speakers world-wide have earned the CSP.
Corporate clients include Kraft, Proctor & Gamble, IBM, General Mills, COMSAT, Merrill Lynch and Honeywell. Many associations have also praised Brad's work including the Alzheimer Association, the Utilities Service Alliance (a nuclear energy association), The American Payroll Association, and the California Teachers Association.
Brad Montgomery is a motivational humorist, urging his audiences across the country to lighten up and to remember that our lives are filled with humor and magic. He helps associations and corporations deal with change, improve client and staff morale, and reminds groups that "Life is Fun and Funny. And Filled with Magic." By the looks of things, his clients agree. Organizations use him to kick off conventions with a bang, close em with a laugh or to lift them up somewhere in between. His programs create laughter and magic, leaving his audiences with a spring in their steps, feeling good about themselves, great about the meeting, and hopeful for the future.
In addition to his just-for-grins show "Freshly Brewed Magic & Comedy" and his Game Show "Make Me a Deal," Brad Montgomery has a motivational, high-content program entitled "Stack Your Deck for Success: A Magician Reveals the Secrets of Getting What You Want Out of Life."
