Biography

Dr. Marilyn Manning is one of only a handful of professionals internationally who hold both the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designations. She holds a Ph.D. and master's in Psychology, and a master's in Social Science.

Dr. Manning lectures and coaches at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, where she presents and facilitates in the areas of strategic planning, team building, communications, and conflict mediation.

Over the last 20 years, Dr. Manning has brought expedient solutions to complex people and team problems. She successfully integrates her personal philosophy with the challenges and needs of the business community. Dr. Marilyn Manning has delivered over 1,000 speeches to more than 400 clients, including General Electric, Stanford University, Hewlett Packard, National Semiconductor, Symantec, Cirrus Logic, Lockheed, GTE, Lotus, Lucent, SEMI, Network Associates, VISA, Unocal 76, the United States Department of the Interior, and various other government agencies.

Dr. Manning has successfully taken her practical experience and research of organizational psychology into written form, having authored over 100 articles as well as several books. Marilyn Manning has extensive experience working internationally with companies and organizations such as the Malaysian Prime Minister's Cabinet, IBL shipping company in Mauritius, Symantec in Europe and Canada, and for American Standard in Mexico. She has worked in London, Borneo, South Africa, and Puerto Rico, utilizing her particular synthesis of organizational psychology and transpersonal values.

Dr. Marilyn Manning is committed to improving her community by volunteering her talents and services to community organizations and charities. Her understanding of organizations has also manifested into various leadership positions. Dr. Marilyn Manning has served as the president of the largest chapter of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and she currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP.)
