Biography

Dale Irvin got his start in comedy by studying at Chicago's Second City Players Workshop and the Forum Theater School. From there, Dale Irvin formed a five-person improvisational comedy team, which launched him to the stage as a stand up comedian.

Dale Irvin has shared the stage with such stars as Jay Leno, Paul Anka, Dionne Warwick, the Four Tops, and the Temptations, and has been seen on over 100 television shows including MTV, Showtime, A&E, Oprah Winfrey and America's Funniest People.

Not only is Dale Irvin a very funny speaker, he is also an author. He has written several books including Dale Irvin Rewrites History, Laughter Doesn't Hurt, The Everything Book of Toasts, and is a contributing author to The Outlaws of Success. He publishes Funny Business, a monthly humor newsletter with international distribution.

However, speaking is what Dale Irvin does first, foremost, and incredibly well. The National Speakers Association presented Dale Irvin with its two highest awards: in 1988, Dale Irvin earned the designation of Certified Speaking Professional, CSP, and in 1995 was given the highest recognition of Council of Peers Award for Excellence, CPAE.

During Dale Irvin's presentations, he demonstrates the healing power of laughter. His material is clean, intelligent, and timely. In addition, Dale Irvin's "Corporate Challenge" game show is highly requested and recommended to companies that want to show employees how to use laughter as a tool to reduce stress, solve problems and increase their profits.

As an actor, Dale Irvin has the ability to play many roles, and can be introduced to the audience as anyone, from the new vice president of sales to the junior senator from California. Dale Irvin works with his client to decide on a character, and then creates a program that will confuse and baffle the audience until they catch on and enjoy the fun. He has even performed in the character of a woman...and a good-looking one at that!

Dale Irvin's clients include Allstate Insurance, Peat Marwick, the American Hospital Association, the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, the Association of Wholesale Grocers, the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Siemens, Anheuser Busch, Mercedes, Wal-Mart, Motorola, Sprint, and the U. S. Postal Service, to name just a few.
