Olympics Bart Conner is America\'s most decorated male gymnast and the first American to win medals at every level of national and international competition. Bart Conner has been a USA Champion, NCAA Champion, Pan-American Games Champion, World Champion, World Cup Champion, and an Olympic Champion. Bart Conner was a member of the three Olympic Teams in 1976, 1980 and 1984. It was in the 1984 Olympics where he battled back from his second torn biceps injury to win two gold medals at the Los Angeles Olympics (team and parallel bars.) Bart is in business with his wife, Olympic Champion Nadia Comaneci. He co-owns a gymnastics school in Norman, Oklahoma (The Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy,) International GYMNAST magazine, and Grips, Etc., a gymnastics supply company. Along with some of his fellow Olympic medallists, including John Naber, Dan Jansen, and Jeff Blatnick, Bart Conner co-wrote Awaken the Olympian Within. Like many sports celebrities, Bart Conner has dabbled in both films and television. In 1984, he earned his degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He starred in Rad, a feature film about BMX bike racing, and has appeared on such top-rated TV shows as Highway to Heaven and Touched By An Angel. For 20 years Bart Conner has worked as a TV commentator for ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, and Turner. He started Perfect 10 Productions, Inc., a TV production company dedicated to bringing more quality gymnastics meets to TV. His projects include the Jr. European Gymnastics Championships (Russia) for ESPN, the Arthur Gander Invitational (Switzerland), and Copa Gymnastic (Mexico) for Fox Sports Net. Bart Conner\'s many charity efforts include the Bart Conner Educational Programs, Inc., a non-profit educational program to inspire youths and under-served children. He serves on the Executive Board of Special Olympics International and is a national vice-president of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In 1991, he was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame, and in 1996 he was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Bart Conner has been instrumental in the relocation of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame to Oklahoma City.
