His expertise has allowed him to identify the most common methods and locations used by professional criminals who target travelers, and to develop strategies to reduce traveler's victim potential. What began as a public service gesture sharing tips with citizens on how to foil the hardened criminal, professional pickpocket, and the larcenous fellow traveler, evolved into a nationwide practice of teaching travelers how not to be targeted as victims.

Kevin Coffey is passionate about reducing the victimization of travelers in airports, hotels, and while on the road.
