How do I book a speaker?

Close your eyes and point to a name in the yellow pages. No. Seriously. Venturing out on your own to locate a speaker is about as effective. Trust Keynote to find the kind of speaker you need. We'll recommend speakers based on your budget and criteria. If you already have a speaker in mind, we can tell you the cost and the speaker's availability. We can also research new or hard-to-find speakers, at no cost to you.

Once you choose a speaker, we'll negotiate the deal on your behalf. After the speaker is confirmed, we will follow up on details for the event to make sure the speaker has everything necessary to do a great job!

I'm interested in a speaker who's not listed on your website. Can you help?

Yes. The names we have listed on our website are only a sample of available speakers. So, if you're interested in someone you don't see on the list, just ask. We also routinely research new speakers or hard-to-find celebrity speakers, so we'd be happy to inquire about someone special for you.

How much are speakers' fees? Are there any additional costs?

Speakers' fees for keynote speeches start at $3,500 and can go up to $200,000, depending on the individual speaker. Longer time commitments like a half-day or full-day program will usually be more expensive than a simple keynote-type speech. Events that take place outside of the continental United States may also be more expensive. When you speak to an agent here at Keynote Speakers, we will quote you fees for specific speakers and help you find a speaker that fits your budget.

Other additional costs you may need to pay include: audio/visual equipment, round trip airfare, ground transportation, overnight accommodations, and other out-of-pocket expenses, such as meals, parking, toll fees and tips.

There is no fee charged by Keynote Speakers for using our services.

What does Keynote Speakers charge for its services?

What we do is priceless, but we don't charge you a separate fee for working with us. The speaker you book pays us a commission for securing the booking for them, so that we can be free to you. And, if you decide not to book any speaker at all, there is absolutely no charge.

I want my speaker to do a book signing, take photos with us, and/or attend a VIP event. Can you arrange that?

Special requests are subject to the speaker's approval, but we will do our best to make sure the speaker accommodates you. It is helpful for us to know about these requests as early as possible, so that we can make any additional time commitments part of the invitation to the speaker.

Can I audio or video tape my speaker's presentation?

It depends on the speaker you choose. Let us know in advance if you would like to tape your speaker's presentation, and we will tell you who does and does not allow taping. Written permission for taping must be obtained prior to the event from both you and the speaker.

I am a speaker. What do I need to do to have you recommend me to your clients?

We are always looking for excellent new speakers. Once you send us your promotional kit, we will contact you after we have reviewed your materials. Your materials must include:

• A demo videotape or a videotape of a professional speech
• Fee schedule
• Contact information
• Biography
• List of topics
• Any other items you would like us to have, such as letters of recommendation, topic outlines, a photograph, etc
